Does any one care about piracy and interlectual property?

My dad tells me all the time ill get in trouble for piracy. i always ask, who is going to catch me? I have about 9GB of music and growing, several burnt games and a large collection of copied dvd's and software. Oh and iv started downloading ebooks. I personaly dont give a fukk about it as I cant afford it if i had to pay retail price.

Whats your opinion? Is it theft?

It's theft but I do it too. I used to be against it but now I could care less. I won't lie to myself and say it isn't theft.

But when you share it you make copies of it which is against the law.

ok...I'm just kiddin, I "share" too...can't remember the last time I've actually bought a cd or movie...I just download 'em all.

I 'share' permanently, as we speak im downloading. I think i got about 19Gb of downloaded music but i buy my movies. I think everyone does or has done at one point.

It may be but I think the music industry will just have to accept it. People are going to find a way to burn regardless of any precautions the music people take. I don't feel at all bad about it. 8)

Why thank you, the thing is MILLIONS of people are doin it. I think as long as you don't then sell it on for profit then you'll be ok.

They make way too much cash anyway. I can never understand why musicians, actors and singers are so much better paid than bin men, nurses, teachers etc etc. I HATE them all anyway

True, it costs them pence to produce them. They make HUGE profits.
