Sounds like the teacher was just trying to get control of his class; and the girl wanted to make sure he didn't. The girl should be punished for that. Taking emergency workers away from potential 'real' emergencys.

I agree - I had to check on the age, but 13/14? Yeah, it say she was just trying to get one over on the teacher. I he's have backhanded her across the face or something then there is a problem - but seriously, shaking a desk?

Oh yeah and on a similar note, my 8th grade math teacher would throw stuff at you to get your attention. If you were off in la-la land, next thing you know, your leg gets hit with a chalkboard eraser or a piece of chalk.

Should I have called 911 because he assaulted me?

My philosophy teacher used to hit me across the back of the head to make points in his lectures.

Yes, this same math teacher would smack the desk with a yard stick. He broke one once.

My teacher did the same thing and he broke one too.

I loved watching my teachers wake students up.
