What Is Peta2? (Sorry I Couldn't Find The Right Forum To Post This)

I hear it's something to do with being against animal cruelty and becoming vegetarian....But i've also heard alot of the stuff on there is a big load of s***.
For example the cruelty they film is usually caused by themselves.
Is this true?
